While vocally promoting the gay agenda openly since 2012, President Obama has silently expanded transgender rights. A little over a week ago, he lifted a federal ban on trans-gender health coverage, according to theWashington Blade. Now federal employees who desire a transgender lifestyle can have their surgery and related health items covered by health insurance.
This is the latest in a long line of transgender “rights” being propagated by a silent President. A recent ABC News article highlights a number of such top-down enforcement of anti-Christian ideology.
Last Monday, he announced he would sign an executive order banning federal contractors from transgender discrimination.
Barbara Siperstein, the first transgender person elected to the Democratic National Committee, freely admitted the inconspicuous policy changes were intentional on the part of both the administration and the transgender rights groups.
Obama was the first president with a transgender political appointee. The first to use the word in a speech. And the first to prohibit discrimination of transgender federal employees.
Mara Keisling, executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equality, lauded the president:
“He has been the best president for transgender rights, and nobody else is in second place.”
The media has also helped with this silent revolution. Recently, NBC news reported on the American Medical Association’s belief that cheerleading should be considered a sport with an article titled, “AMA says cheerleading should be designated a sport.” The same article mentioned in passing,
“In other action Monday, the AMA said transgender people should be able to switch the sex designation on their birth certificates without having sex-change surgery. Most states make the operations a prerequisite. But the new AMA policy acknowledges that gender identity doesn’t always match a person’s birth anatomy.”
Similar under-reporting of significant social news occurred again when in late April, the US Department of Education re-interpreted the 1972 Article IX which forbids gender discrimination to now include transgender. Neither Foxnews, NBC News, CBS News nor CNN News reported on it.
The president is surely pleased with such silence. Obama gloated:
“Title IX is a very powerful tool…The fact that we are applying it to transgender students means that they are going to be in a position to assert their rights if and when they see that they are being discriminated on their college campuses.”
Given the presidents proclivities toward executive fiat as well as keeping his opinions close to his vest, it would be no surprise if he favored third-gender people, throuples, group marriage, indeterminates, robot lovers, or perhaps “mild pedophilia” (ala Richard Dawkins).
Meanwhile, the media remains silent and many conservatives and middle-of-the-road Americans remain unaware, even as the vast majority are uncomfortable with transgender bathrooms. This is especially the case since the issues are not clearly explained by the media, schools or politicians.
However, one group, the Traditional Values Coalition is fighting a bill that would include workplace discrimination laws for gay and transgender people. Unfortunately, executive fiats are harder to fight, especially when enacted silently before a mute media.
