What will the next four years of an Obama presidency be like?<\/p>\n

To know the future one must investigate the past. In this case, the place to start is with his own words:<\/p>\n

“Implicit in [the Constitution] structure, in the very idea of ordered liberty, was a rejection of absolute truth, the infallibility of any idea or ideology or theology or ‘ism,’ any tyrannical consistency that might lock future generations into a single, unalterable course…” (The Audacity of Hope, p. 93).<\/p>\n

In other words, the constitution should not hold back the president. And his first four years is proof of that. Consider the murder of an American citizen<\/a> with a drone attack. Or the secrecy of the decision. Or the lack of due process<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Next consider the massive government intrusion into health care. American citizens are legally forced to purchase a product or else be penalized. States’ rights as enshrined in the Tenth Amendment has grown even smaller.<\/p>\n

Lastly, consider his track record on religious liberty. The same health care law<\/a> undermines the consciences of religious people and organizations that believe abortion is murder.<\/p>\n

But there is more. Obama’s administration tried to radically limit<\/a> the freedom of religious organizations to operate according to their faith. Providentially, the Supreme Court unanimously rejected the spurious claims.<\/p>\n

With the president’s promise to do more for Russia in his foreign policy in his second term, can we expect the same on the domestic front?<\/p>\n

As American citizens, conservative Christians are deeply concerned about these and other issues.
